Bewdley vs Worcester 26-3-22

An important match for Bewdley Town FC, the result of which could be a determining factor in the team staying in the Premier Division of the Midlands Football League. Playing against 5th in the division team, Worcester Town FC was always going to be a challenge. A final score of 3-0 to Worcester didn’t reflect the tenacity, grit and determination that Bewdley showed on the pitch. Follow the link for printable pictures.

Bewdley Reserves FC

A hard-fought match between Bewdley Reserves FC and Solihull Sporting FC saw Bewdley lose 3-2. An unlucky end for Bewdley after an opportunity to equalise in the second half.

Bewdley Town FC vs Boldmere St Michael’s FC – a match played on Saturday 26th February saw Bewdley lose 3-0. A hard-fought game saw The Mikes go 3 up in the first half. Undeterred, Bewdley fought hard in the second half and put a stop to any further opportunities The Mikes might have. At the same time, Bewdley was unable to capitalise on the few opportunities they created for themselves. Click above for the full album.

AFC Wulfrunians vs Bewdley Town FC

The final league match of the season for Bewdley Town FC saw some great action against AFC Wulfrunians. With Bewdley placed at the bottom of the league and AFC Wulfrunians 5th, Bewdley was always going to have a challenging afternoon. With a final score of 0-0, it’s fair to say that Bewdley played a stormer. Follow the link for watermark-free digital downloads.

About SportsPics

Sports Photographer

Nick Goodwin

Throughout my life, I’d rather be doing than watching. Even when my children were young, when they did a sport, I did the sport alongside them. I could never see the benefit of sitting on the sidelines watching when I could be having a go.

It means that I’ve tried a lot of different sports, and although I flitted from one to another, it gave me an insight and genuine respect for those that specialised in one particular area, excelled and reached the top of their game.

Whether it’s the local park run, road racing, football or top-level cycling, when I focus my 600mm zoom lens on an athletes face, I can see the hard work they’ve put in through the determination in their eyes and the grimace on their face.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that it was intoxicating to watch, and I often come away from an event humbled by the sheer focus and determination sportspeople possess at all levels.

These days, with my children all grown up (my son is 31 and my daughter 24), my time is my own, and I get to pursue my passions.

On a typical day, you’ll find me walking or running in the Wyre Forest with Cleo the Hungarian Vizsla. At 13, she’s getting on a bit now, but she more than manages to keep up.

If I’m not photographing an event on weekends, you’ll often find me in Wales hiking over a mountain, a pastime of mine for nearly ten years. In 2016 I completed what was at the time the UK’s longest National Trail, the South West Coast Path, 630 miles of gruelling coastal path with a total ascent walked of 115,000 feet, just under four time’s the height of Everest. It took me two months to complete and two and half months for my feet to stop hurting.

As a sports photographer, I love to catch that epic moment in time, when the culmination of years of grit, pain, determination, mental questioning and doubt, all come together in a moment of sheer brilliance to give you the outcome that was your vision. Capturing that moment and transferring it to print is a privilege I’m happy to share. And in years to come, you’ll look at that picture and say, “that was me, I did that”.
